Greenhouse stimulates productivity by offering unlimited amounts of water

Why do we provide water at all?

Simply put, water does wonders for our health and productivity, but is all too easy to forget about on busy days. So, by offering unlimited access to water at all our workplaces, we aim to provide a subtle reminder. A few advantages of sufficient hydration:

  •  getting plenty of water helps prevent muscle cramps and painful joints (from sitting still for too long);
  •  water purifies and helps “flush out” harmful substances from our systems;
  •  drinking enough water provides you with more energy, improves your mood and strengthens your immune system

Sound exaggerated? Perhaps. But it’s true, really! About 75% of our bodies consists of water, and that’s 85% for our brains! That is why we depend on a constant supply to function optimally. This also applies to our organs, muscles, skin and blood.

Do you tend not to drink enough water? In that case, faster than you think, you will begin to experience the first symptoms of dehydration. These can include feeling tired, sloppy work, confusion, grumpiness and forgetfulness. In other words, a lack of water in your system reduces productivity!

Eliminating plastic as much as possible

Naturally, Greenhouse does everything it can to reduce the use of plastics in day-to-day operations. Unfortunately, this is not always entirely possible, at least not yet. In all our meeting rooms we provide unlimited water, coffee and tea, but these spaces don’t always have taps available. Nor are water coolers necessarily a great choice, as those offering carbonated water don’t keep for very long. For this reason, we still use bottled water at our Berchem and Mechelen sites. However, they’re not just any bottles…

Chaudfontaine is one of the first brands to use 100% recycled plastic

Just about everyone agrees that plastic bottles are harmful to the environment, and so we are increasingly looking for appropriate solutions and alternatives to limit our plastic consumption. This also applies to Chaudfontaine! This multinational corporation went in search of a sustainable, circular packaging system to give the plastic in their bottles a new lease on life. No sooner said than done. Since September 2019, all the brand’s bottles have been made from 100% recycled plastic. Their aim? To neutralise the ecological footprint of their bottling plant and so produce the most environmentally friendly bottled water in Belgium.
